Why We Build Our Website Using WordPress

2009: The Yankees won the world series. The Pittsburgh Steelers won the SuperBowl. Tiger Woods’ career took a turn for the worst. Coolio tried to stage dive, but no one caught him. It was also when WordPress was thought of as a fancy blogging tool.

While some things haven’t changed, WordPress has gone through quite the evolution. WordPress websites offer so much more than the handful of benefits you usually hear about. and it’s far more than the blogging platform it began as. WordPress is now the content management system all websites and blogs are compared to. Why have we chosen to utilize WordPress for our clients’ websites (and even ours)?

You’re no longer held hostage by customized content management systems.
WordPress is so easy to use that people with even the most basic knowledge of content management can update your website. You eliminate the need to email your website provider, have them tell you it will be done in 48 hours, then find out that a week later your basic request (like a rate update) still isn’t done! (NOTE: Our clients will never experience this kind of crappy service. We promise!)
You’ll save money.
Those requests noted above often cost a good bit of money to be accomplished. If you can update this yourself (or know one of the million or so WordPress experts around the country) you can eliminate the service fees charged by many of the financial industry web firms.
Mobile Readiness.
No need to produce a second website just for mobile users. WordPress automatically recognizes if a person is viewing the site through a web browser or mobile device and configures the content to be viewed on either.
Free Upgrades.
Unlike traditional website software (the kind that were cool when Tiger Woods wasn’t) like Dreamweaver, Photoshop or Flash, upgrades to WordPress blog software are free.

Those are just a few of the reasons we chose WordPress as our platform of choice for our clients. The importance of providing a product that was affordable, secure, and not something proprietary that would hold our clients hostage for years to come were our deciding factors.

If you’re tired of not knowing what’s happening with your website, or you’re holding a grudge against those guys who can’t find the time to return your emails or respond to service requests, we’d love to earn the opportunity to serve you.
